Album: I GOT JOY Album by The Deep House Surgeons

South African house music act The Deep House Surgeons presents the new I GOT JOY Album, released on 28 August 2026 through Groove On Recordings. The project contains 12 tracks and runs for approximately 1 hour and 28 minutes, offering an expansive listening experience built around long-form house arrangements. I GOT JOY Album explores different emotional moods through groove, melody and atmospheric production, with tracks such as “Walking Away,” “Inside,” “They Are Here,” “Descending” and “Lost Souls” helping shape the album’s warm and immersive character.

Musically, I GOT JOY Album is rooted primarily in Deep House and Soulful House, combining steady house rhythms, warm basslines, layered percussion, melodic instrumentation and sophisticated electronic production. Many of the tracks extend beyond seven minutes, giving The Deep House Surgeons room to gradually develop their grooves and create a deeper listening experience. The album moves between uplifting, soulful moments and darker atmospheric sections while maintaining the smooth and mature house sound that connects the entire project.

Collaboration is also an important part of I GOT JOY Album, with Soultouch Deeps appearing on the title track “I GOT JOY,” Malankane joining “I’m Gone,” Lapie featuring on “Chains Of Fools,” and Mlindo Kev contributing to “Endless Miles.” Luigy and Sir Mos appear on “From The Moon,” Exte C joins “So Cry,” while Graham Deep contributes to “Love, Freedom, Faith & Spirit.” These carefully selected featured artists bring different textures to the 12-track project while keeping The Deep House Surgeons’ Deep House and Soulful House production firmly at the centre of I GOT JOY Album.
