Album: Indlela EP by Mnqobi Yazo

South African singer, songwriter and producer Mnqobi Yazo presents his new Indlela Album, released on 28 August 2026. The 18-track project takes its name from the isiZulu word for “the journey” and captures different experiences, emotions and stages of life. Indlela Album explores themes of love, ambition, relationships, spirituality, struggle and personal growth, with Mnqobi Yazo using his distinctive storytelling and cultural influences throughout the project.

Musically, Indlela Album falls within Afro-Pop and Afro-Soul, combining contemporary African production with strong influences from Maskandi, Isicathamiya and traditional Zulu music. The album moves between soulful melodies, traditional elements and modern African sounds, giving the project a style that remains deeply connected to isiZulu storytelling while embracing a contemporary musical direction.

Indlela Album contains 18 tracks and includes appearances from several featured artists. Zee Nxumalo appears on “Inqonqodwane,” Mfiliseni Magubane joins Mnqobi Yazo on “uMkenenezo,” while Mlindo The Vocalist is featured on “Unethezeke.” With its combination of expressive songwriting, cultural influences and carefully selected collaborations, Indlela Album presents a complete body of work centred on Mnqobi Yazo’s storytelling and distinctive African sound.
