Son of Elvis Album is a deeply personal studio project from South African singer, songwriter and producer Marcus Harvey. Following his 2024 album Now You Know Me, the record continues Harvey’s evolution as a storyteller while exploring themes of identity, family, love, heritage and artistic legacy.

The album combines R&B, soul, alternative R&B and contemporary South African influences, carrying the warm melodies and introspective songwriting that have become central to Marcus Harvey’s music. His use of English alongside South African languages gives the project a distinctly local identity while maintaining a modern, genre-blending sound.

Across its 13 tracks, Son of Elvis includes previously released songs such as “Mapula,” “Waters,” and “Come To Me” featuring Mick Jenkins. Additional collaborations include BLK ODYSSY on “Turtle Doves” and Kush on “Ndži Lava Ku China,” while songs such as “Rebecca’s Prayer [Intro],” “Mmangwane,” “Charlotte,” “Carried You,” “Need You,” “Cotton Candy,” “Who Is Elvis?” and “Medi Ba Baya” complete the project.
