Guga Mzimba Album is a heartfelt Maskandi project by Mancinza, delivering 14 tracks built around traditional storytelling, expressive vocals, and the guitar-driven character associated with South African Maskandi. The album combines cultural influences with contemporary production while maintaining a strong connection to its traditional musical roots.

The title “Guga Mzimba” evokes ideas surrounding ageing, endurance, experience, and the passage of time. Across the project, Mancinza touches on relationships, family, respect, hardship and everyday experiences, using music as a vehicle for storytelling and reflection.

Musically, the album features rhythmic guitar work, traditional vocal approaches, percussion and melodic arrangements. Tracks include “Ikhaya lami,” “Inhlonipho,” “Umkhulekho kamama,” “Izinyembezi,” “Ngiyakuthanda,” “Isende lami,” “Nka pelo yaka,” “Iveni elibomvu,” “Umthandazo wempumputhe,” “Guga mzimba,” “Simoni kaJona,” and “Wathula nje.”
