Album: The Jazz In Me Album by Happy Jazzman

South African producer Happy Jazzman presents his new The Jazz In Me Album, released on 4 September 2026 through HOK/Inner Circle Entertainment. The album contains 9 tracks and runs for approximately 1 hour and 6 minutes, giving its arrangements plenty of room to develop. Songs including “The Thoughts Of You,” “Your Life,” “Jazzy Groove,” “Jazz Lingo,” “Personal Journey,” “Jazzing Around,” “Sunday Blues,” “Bambelela” and “Awoken Spiritual” form a cohesive project centred on rich instrumentation, extended grooves and Happy Jazzman’s jazz-influenced production.

Musically, The Jazz In Me Album is rooted in Amapiano and Electronic, with a strong jazz character running throughout the project. Happy Jazzman combines warm piano chords, deep basslines, layered percussion and spacious arrangements with jazz-inspired melodies, creating a relaxed and sophisticated interpretation of contemporary South African piano music. Tracks frequently stretch beyond six minutes, allowing the instrumental ideas and collaborations to develop gradually rather than rushing through their arrangements.

Collaboration is a major part of The Jazz In Me Album, with Happy Jazzman joined by Mel Muziq, Kattey, TribeSoul, Hlengiwe Dlamini, TS ThePlug, Sabzaar, Tmanxvi, Tots SA and Nhleks FS. Mel Muziq and Kattey contribute to “The Thoughts Of You,” while TribeSoul, Hlengiwe Dlamini and TS ThePlug appear on “Your Life.” Sabzaar, Tmanxvi and TribeSoul join “Jazzy Groove,” with TribeSoul returning across several other tracks alongside collaborators including Nhleks FS and Tots SA. The extensive lineup gives The Jazz In Me Album variety while keeping Happy Jazzman’s Amapiano and jazz-focused production at its centre.
