Album: Chairman EP by Deejaykgosi

Chairman EP is a new project from South African producer DeejayKgosi, continuing his rise within the contemporary Amapiano scene. DeejayKgosi, whose name is Kgosi Katlego Bogopane, is a Soweto-born producer, composer and vocalist who began producing music in 2019. His official Spotify profile identifies him specifically as an Amapiano producer.

The title “Chairman” gives the project a confident identity, reflecting leadership, ambition and DeejayKgosi's continued development as a producer. The EP follows a productive period that saw him collaborate with a growing circle of South African artists while developing his own recognizable approach to piano music.

Musically, Chairman remains rooted in Amapiano, building on the style heard throughout DeejayKgosi's catalogue. His productions typically combine piano-driven melodies, rhythmic percussion, bass-heavy grooves and vocal collaborations, balancing soulful sections with energetic dancefloor moments. His earlier WE ARE ONE project similarly carried an Amapiano sound across its three tracks.

The project arrives after DeejayKgosi's 2026 activity, including “Two + Two” in March and “Bukubuku” featuring Lington on 1 May. Apple Music lists “Bukubuku” as his latest indexed release before Chairman.

Chairman EP represents another step in DeejayKgosi's evolution as an Amapiano producer, bringing his melodic production style and collaborative approach into a new project.
